The Ellwood Mesa, now the Sperling Preserve, forms part of the Ellwood Coast, which stretches from the Sandpiper Golf Course on the West to Coal Oil Point on the East. FOTEC recognizes the value of all this land as contiguous open space and habitat forming part of the Gaviota Coast. The group continues to work to protect and preserve as much as possible of the Ellwood Coast section of this key coastal stretch, and to encourage its use for such purposes as passive recreation and education.

Donations remain welcome to help FOTEC meet the costs, for example, of attending Coastal Commission hearings in distant cities, archiving the records of the Campaign, and creating educational materials.

If you would like more information about how you can help us protect the Ellwood Coast, please contact us at: info@fotec.org

Thank-you!
